Ebola Outbreak Response Strategy

Risk Assessment and Expected Impact on MUANDA Global Operations

MUANDA Global continues to monitor the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Based on currently available information and our review of industry, governmental, and public-health sources, management does not believe the outbreak is likely to have a material impact on the broader mining sector or on MUANDA Global's current and planned operations.

While Ebola remains a serious humanitarian concern that requires vigilance and support for affected communities, the outbreak is geographically concentrated and does not presently pose a systemic threat to the DRC's principal mining regions.

Geographic Separation from Major Mining Regions

Current reports indicate that the outbreak is centered in Ituri Province in northeastern DRC. This area is geographically separate from the country's primary copper and cobalt producing districts located in the southern Copperbelt.

MUANDA Global's copper and cobalt projects are concentrated primarily around Likasi in Haut-Katanga Province. This region forms part of the internationally recognized Central African Copperbelt and is located hundreds of kilometers from the reported outbreak area.

Likewise, MUANDA Global's gold projects are located in Haut-Uele Province. Although Haut-Uele is geographically closer to Ituri than the Copperbelt, it remains a distinct administrative province and is not currently identified as the center of the outbreak. At this time, there are no indications of widespread mining disruptions affecting operations within the province.

Historical Perspective

The DRC has experienced multiple Ebola outbreaks over the past two decades. During these periods, the country's mining industry continued to function, export commodities, and attract investment.

Industry analysts have specifically noted that the current outbreak is unlikely to significantly affect copper and cobalt production because the principal mining operations are concentrated in regions geographically removed from the outbreak zone.

The country's mining infrastructure, export routes, processing facilities, and major industrial operators have extensive experience operating under health-monitoring and workforce-protection protocols developed through previous public-health events.

Expected Impact on MUANDA Global

Based on information currently available, MUANDA Global does not anticipate any material impact on:

  • Copper and cobalt project development activities in the Likasi region.
  • Existing and planned refinery development programs.
  • Concession acquisition and due diligence activities.
  • Long-term production forecasts.
  • Export and commercial partnerships.
  • Institutional financing initiatives currently under development.

Management continues to advance all projects according to existing strategic objectives.

Risk Management and Operational Readiness

While significant operational impacts are not expected, MUANDA Global maintains a proactive monitoring framework.

The company continues to monitor guidance from local authorities, provincial health agencies, and international health organizations. Where appropriate, site-access controls, workforce health screening, travel monitoring, and community engagement measures may be implemented to ensure employee safety and operational continuity.

Transportation and Personnel Considerations

Management recognizes that the most likely short-term impact of the outbreak, should conditions worsen, would not be mine closures or sector-wide disruption.

Rather, any effects would most likely arise from enhanced health screenings, travel restrictions, border-control measures, or logistical delays affecting international visitors, consultants, contractors, and expatriate personnel traveling into or out of affected regions.

Even under such circumstances, these impacts would be expected to remain localized and would not be anticipated to materially affect MUANDA Global's core copper-cobalt operations in Haut-Katanga or the long-term viability of its gold projects in Haut-Uele.

Investment Outlook

The underlying investment thesis for MUANDA Global remains unchanged.

The company continues to focus on the acquisition and development of high-value mineral concessions, refinery integration, responsible mining practices, and the establishment of long-term partnerships with international investors and commodity buyers.

Based on current information, management believes that the Ebola outbreak represents a manageable public-health issue rather than a material threat to the DRC mining sector or to MUANDA Global's project portfolio.
